Chateau Crusquet Sabourin - Grande Reserve 2018
Tasting notes
Deep ruby-purple in color, the nose opens to a fantastic display of black raspberry and warm plum fruitiness, with accents of savory leather, tobacco leaf, allspice, cedar, and crushed violet. The palate is broad with black fruit character that melds seamlessly into lingering spice box and fresh herbal hints. Long and well-constructed, this is a great bottle of Bordeaux for early drinking.
Estate
Located in the Cars village, 2 miles from Blaye village on the right bank of the Garonne. Château Crusquet Sabourin was acquired by the Sébastien et Nicolas Carreau in 1995. The estate consists of 200 acres planted in clay soil on the top of the hill with an excellent south-west facing sun exposure. Respectful of the environment, vines at Château Landreau are cultivated according to the principles of sustainable viticulture. The finished wines are aged for 12 months in 1 & 2 years old French oak barrels.
