Reviews
Wine Enthusiast 92
A single-vineyard wine from the Corcelette sector of Morgon, this is impressively ripe. With structure, solid tannins over black fruits, the wine is dense and ageworthy.

The vivid violet aroma flirts openly with you, but then comes the wave of tannin on the palate. Needs quite a bit of time for all of this to harmonize, but it should work out well. Explosive, long and craggy finish. Drinkable now, but better from 2023.

Description
The Domain Laurent Perrachon and Sons are the fifth (Martine and Laurent) and sixth (Maxime and Adrien) generation of Perrachon, on the La Bottièr eEstate since 1877. The earliest traces of the family in the wine trade date 1601. The family pursues the work of their ancestors producing wines the traditional way. The Perrachon family acquired the domain of la Bottière, in Juliénas, in 1877. They are situated is the heart of the Julienas appellation, benefiting from the best exposure and the best soils. Today the family harvests grapes on six appellations. This makes them the most impressive independant winemaker in Beaujolais with the most comprehensive list of crus. The family is in the process of eliminating all chemical products and working as sustainable as possible. Their Juliénas wines grow across the southern and south-eastern slopes of Mont du Bessay, which has a wealth of different terroirs. This hillside is divided into zones of granitic, sedimentary and “rotten rock” soils, which is what makes it possible to store these Beaujolais crus for several years without losing any quality.
