Vineyard Notes
Situated at the end of the Colchagua Valley, the area of Marchigue is becoming renowned for premium reds. The high temperature difference between night and day favor color and flavors. We have selected three vineyards for our ultimate cuvee: Santa Ana: for the red clay soils El Aumento: for the gravel deposit Santa Marta : for the granite soil. All the vineyards are single plane trellised and are planted with a density of 4000 vines/hectare.
Winemaking Notes
The grapes were picked at optimum ripeness then cool macerated before a warm extended fermentation. Pump overs were carried out twice a day to ensure complete extraction. The wine was then aged in oak barrel for 14 months. Prior bottling the wine was gently egg white fined and pad filtered.
