Weight and vitality, concentration and elegance make this a very impressive white Burgundy, even though it is still pretty young. Time will undoubtedly amplify all this,because the wine already expands as it powers inexorably across the palate. Huge yet fresh finish. Drinkable now, but best from 2023.

Wine Advocate 90-92+

The 2019 Batard-Montrachet Clos Poirier Grand Cru is turning out nicely, exhibiting aromas of pear, toasted nuts, orange oil and popcorn, followed by a full-bodied, layered and nicely concentrated palate. Though the vines here are still young, this appears to be a fine effort in the making.
