This is what makes Burgundy so special – it's so easy to enjoy, with amazing black-cherry fruit, yet it's so deep and complex. Wonderful richness, below which lies a major tannin structure, then the minerality and lively acidity kick in and push this out in the direction of infinity. Makes you glad to be alive! Drink or hold.

This wine's profoundly ripe black-plum and cassis flavors and svelte, spirited demeanor make it a fantastic expression of the appellation. Despite a maturation of 10 to 12 months in 100% oak, it's pristine in fruit, finishing on lingering notes of crushed white pepper and a salty, mineral crush.
