Food matches
This is a perfect wine to accompany all sorts of freshwater fish, like zander or luce, and seafood, e.g. scallop or lobster. Also excellent to cheese like Crottin de Chavignol or Poullgny Saint Pierre.
Tasting
This concentrated Sauvignon Blanc is highly aromatic with intense flavors of peaches and gooseberries. It impresses with it's full body and richness which is typical for sancerre. The natually high acidity makes this wine more vivid and underlines the fine mineralty.
The 2011 vintage
Everyone was happy with the 2011 harvest, although there was some rainfall just in the middle of the vintage. However the grapes could be brought in at good potential degrees of alcohol, as bunches were well spaced out, yield was low and the grapes could turn golden. The quality of the 2011 juice was very clean and precise with good weight of fruit. 2011 appears to be a more classic year for the whites than the vintages before.
