Attractive aromas of ripe dark fruit, vanilla, cardamom and chocolate. Some nutmeg, too. Medium- to full-bodied with polished tannins and creamy texture. Refined and silky with a velvety core of ripe blackberries and hints of walnut to close.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2020 Grand Corbin rolls out of the glass with vivacious notes of redcurrant jelly, Black Forest cake and blackberry pie, plus touches of damp soil, graphite and charcuterie with a spicy hint of Sichuan pepper. The medium to full-bodied palate has a solid backbone of firm, grainy tannins and bold freshness supporting the taut, muscular black fruits, finishing earthy.

Friendly, with tasty plum and blackberry compote flavors, judicious toast and a brushstroke of tobacco on the finish. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
