Cassis, violets, spicy oak, and wildflower notes all emerge from the 2019 Chateau La Dauphine, a medium-bodied beauty with a wonderful sense of purity and elegance, good acidity, and outstanding length.

Very pretty aromas of crushed berries, such as brambleberries and hints of plums with some wet earth. The palate is full-bodied with layered of ripe yet firm tannins with a surprising amount of energetic acidity.

From holdings largely located on the continuation of Canon-Fronsac's limestone plateau in the appellation of Fronsac, the 2019 de la Dauphine has turned out nicely, delivering notions of cassis, plums, licorice, spices and raw cocoa, followed by a medium to full-bodied, lively palate with powdery tannins and a bright core of fruit.
